You're welcome Ken. Let me know how it goes with him and his scanner.

Photolady, I haven't heard a thing from my friend since last night. It's like he fell into a hole somewhere. Whenever he emails me about the scanner problem, I'll let you know. I'm curious too. Ken

Did you email him to see if any of the suggestions I gave worked? Sometimes we get so involved that our communication gets pushed under the table. I hope what I suggested worked for him.

I just got an email from him stating that, in working with the scanner software, Evast reported that he has a Trojan Horse to deal with, so his situation gets more complicated. I'll be sure and let you know whether he is successful or not. In the meantime, I think I'll shut down and go to bed. I'll be out of town much of the day tomorrow but I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience. I know how frustrating it is for you to try to help someone and then not get any feedback. I'll definitely see you later. Ken

The trojan could have effecting his installing the scanner. And thanks for the update. I'll try to be patient in waiting further development on this issue.

Photolady, I just got back in town.....received a message from the guy who is having trouble installing the scanner. He received several technical messages from HP that I would like to forward on to you but I can't figure out how to do it. I tried copy and paste (from his email) but that was not successful. Is there any way I can simply forward his email message on to you? There are several messages (in one single email)...quite technical...a simple forward to you would be best. How? Ken
