Need help with LG W2253TQ
I got some issues to clarify and hopefully anybody or any users of this monitor can help me... My unit is made in Indonesia which I can say is different than other units made from other places as suppliers may get it differently..
So my issues are
1. When I switched on the monitor, there is no sound or music tone coming from the monitor as compared to other series like W2243T and as described by LG with its devices equipped with FUN technology.
2. The Auto/Set function did not work when I connect using DVI to my PC. I always get the message "Digital Video Input No Access". The monitor is able to detect the digital signal from my GPU (Sapp ATI HD2600 Pro AGP). However, when I connect using VGA (D-Sub) the Auto/Set button is functional.
So I hope to know more about these as I just bought my unit last Saturday and if it is a faulty unit or it's just like that .

1. From what I can see, those monitors do NOT have sound capabilities...no speakers. I do not see speakers mentioned in the specs I see.
2. Only the VGA (analog) signal needs the auto adjustments. DVI does not need them; probably why you are getting that message. You are still getting actual video with the DVI cable, aren't you? If not, then we have another problem.

If image is displays but above error appears, may be an issue with video card drivers in use and/or when native resolution is not used.

1. I check with the US representative side that their units with this FUN technology will "emit" sound whenever a button is pressed (regardless of the spec has speaker or not) but could not confirm if units sold outside US will have the same feature.
2.Yes, I'm still getting actual videos with the cable . Just for curiosity, is this rule applies to all monitors using DVIs ?
Well, so far everything is good on my unit; images clear, sensors working fine, and I like this monitor very much.

The vast majority of monitors will automatically find the correct resolution when using DVI. I hesitate to say that they all do it though, there may be the odd cheap and nasty one that doesn't.

What I see from the ForteManager, it automatically disable the auto adjustment function for the DVI.. I'm not sure about the VGA functionality in the Forte
