Sharing folder
Hi all,
I have a private home network with 2 Vista computers. One of them is a media Center and I'm trying to share a folder with the other Vista computer(desktop). In the Media Center computer Control panel - network and sharing - I turned on file sharing and I also turned off password protected sharing.
The Vista desktop has a password but the Media Center computer has no password. I could add a password if necessary since I now have a wireless keyboard.
I can see the shared folder from my desktop but when I click it to view files it I get the following diagnostic message -
"Recorded TV" is available but the user account that you are logged on with was denied access. Windows cannot further diagnose the problem because network diagnostics does not know the user name and password that is required to connect to the computer.
Is this because the target computer has no password?
Thanks
