Sorting WORD97 files by date on a W98 pc
When I click Windows Explorer and then click C:\ and then My Documents, I get a listing of hundreds of files on the right-hand side of my screen. How do I order this listing by date? Thanks.

Click on the 'Date' column heading.
Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday

mhl: Thank you. But I can't find "Date."
On the listing of dozens of Word files I see these columns -- Name, Size, Type, Modified (with dates shown). Where is that "Date" you speak of?

mhl and others: To clarify, I want to order the dozens of lines in the listing (currently shown ordered alphabetically by name) by the date that appears in the Modified column. How to do that?

When you click on the button labelled "Modified", the folder view will be sorted according to the Modified date flag. Each further click will toggle between descending and ascending date order. Files and folders will be sub-grouped, as Explorer usually does.

whl and platybus: Thank you. Simple as that. But I would never have discovered it.
