Well so much for that. I have a sinking feeling we're not going to be able to track this down.

Might try this: In Firefox 1.5.0.1, under Tools | Options | Content
    Disable (uncheck) Enable Java
    Disable (uncheck) Enable JavaScript

Never once had FireFox crash here on VirtualDr.

Only one crash in about a month. Seems like the problem is at least better. My crash was while viewing a thread (not replying). It displayed the titlebar and crashed before the ad. But once a month is something I can handle. Kudos to the admins for your work!

disable javascript? That's a bit of a harsh workaround, don't you think!?

Most ads are harsh ... and distracting, invasive, abusive, irritating, ...

99% of the time I use Mozilla and run with Javascript and Java disabled, (for general surfing).

If I need to access a site that uses them, or ActiveX, Flash and whatever else, (and I am reasonably certain that the site is safe), I simply jump over to Internet Explorer.

    Works for me.
