Can't delete Desktop theme.
I download (and installed) a Windows "Tornado" desktop theme onto my WinXP Home machine.
The audio files that came with it are, to say the least, annoying but I can't seem to get rid of them. Even when I change themes... still there and annoying as hell.
Any way of getting rid of the desktop theme... or even just the audio files?

I am not sure if this will help, but go into the Control Panel, click on Sounds and Audio Devices. Look at what is listed under the Sound Tab. you may need to change the Themes that are on top or go individually down the list on the bottom to change the sounds.
Good luck,

I've never tried to completely delete a desktop theme, but right-click on Desktop, click Properties | Themes; open the drop-down menu and highlight the annoyance to delete it. If that doesn't work, try Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Sounds, see if you can find the offending file or theme. If that doesn't work, and you have a few hours--do what I did a while back. I was so P.O.'d at one sound I couldn't find that I used Search to find *.wav....found it that way.
