I have Adobe Acrobat 4.0 installed and running on my Win 98SE machine. Acrobat 4.0 won't open certain new pdf files - the formats aren't compatible - got to love Adobe for this one. I installed Acrobat Reader 5.1 sucessfully. If I double click on a pdf file from Windows Explorer, the pdf file will open with Acrobat 4.0. Some files need to be opened with Acrobat Reader 5.1, so I thought that I would highlight the file and shift - right click - open with. That was OK but the Acrobat Reader 5.1 wasn't on the list .


I can open Acrobat Reader 5.1 from the start menu and open the required filke with it but I was wondering why Acrobat Reader 5.1 doesn't appear on the list and waht to do about it.
