I installed HP's sorry excuse for a patch to the NT 4.0 drivers (which is supposed to make the scanner operable in Win2k). The OS recognizes the scanner. However, scans only work correctly when I initiate a scan from the software. If I press the "Scan" button on the scanner to initiate a scan, my system freezes about 2/3 of the way through. I then have to hard boot my PC. Any ideas?
