The preschool my wife works for has a website in operation. However, the guy they had that designed and put in on the net has disappeared.

They have no idea who is hosting the site or how to gain access to update/replace sections of the site. Is there a way to:
find out where the site is posted?
if they find out, can they get access to it?
If they are out of luck, is there a way to open a new site with the same name?

Any help you can supply to get them going would be appreciated.
