    Resolved [RESOLVED] Current windows 7 updates

    There were 3 updates today and I opted to install them but only 1 of them succeeded to install; both of the KB items failed to install . I noticed that these same 2 failed to update when attempted on 1-26-10. Anything going on that anyone knows about?

    Just 2: KB976972 failed today and January 26
    KB977074 failed today and January 26

    Not my chipset !! Can't help but wonder why Windows Updates gives the wrong info for the updates---and on 2 separate days.

    Train, there is more to this puzzle. Wife and I have identical machines and I have her PC setup to install Windows Updates automatically (she would not install them herself even if she knew how and she does not want to know how). I just checked her updates and found that KB9770074 installed on 1-27-10 but first failed to install(earlier in the day?) Also failed to install on 1-26-10

    KB976972: Same scenario as above.
    Can't help but have a lack of confidence in MS to Update correctly. It seems to me that for something this important MS would be more correct. Guess we have nothing to do except to accept what MS sends down the pike. I install my updates manually

    Wonder if others have, or had, the same problems. They may want to check their updates history!!!!

    I do have some interesting threads----sometimes Just want to emphasize the fact that the failures to update occurred first on the same day before meeting with success for both of them.
    I see nothing more that than be done with this thread but others will still want to check their updates.
