    pdf files

    good morning, i am having a problem downloading pdf files . i am trying to download tax forms, yet when i click on the form, i get a blank page. i am on dial up, and i know it takes a while to down load, but there is no movement. i have another machine that is the same as this one, and it does ok. i am running win98se,with ie 5.5, and acrobat 5.0. the other machine is running win 98se, ie5, acrobat reader 4. any suggestions will be appreciated as always, thank you in advance

    Adobe Acrobat Reader is now up to Version 7.0.
    Might want to update and see if that helps.

    You may also want to try right clicking the file and selecting "save target as..." and save it to My docs(or wherever), then open it from there.

    I believe adobe 7 requires Win xp, and adobe 6 requires Ie6. I will try right clicking the file and see if that helps.

    sparkyrhett--I suspect liam858's suggestion will be the easiest, but check your settings in Reader Edit|Preferences|Internet. All boxes should be checked. Also adjust for connection speed, etc.

    i tried the "save as" method, and the doc down loaded fine and i read it via the reader. but now when i close the reader, i get this message. acrord 32 caused an invalid page fault in module gdi.exe what do i do to correct this. thx

    Never bothered to find a fix. Just lived with that error message when it popped up.

    When I was on dialup especially, but still does it on cable, the info sometimes comes down (watch for the loading percentage in bottom left corner (I believe) starting with a blank page. Use the hand cursor or scroll bar to make sure it really dl'd or not.
