FTP - Linux
I have a Fedora Linux FTP server box.
All my users from Windows 2000 Professional use Internet Explorer, and it works.
But when I use IE from XP Professional it does not connect.
Under Tools > Internet Options > Advanced >
Use Passive FTP (for Firewall and DSL modem compatibility) is UNCHECKED.
We use a sonic firewall.
We use a client like: SmartFTP it works.
At the bottom of IE it says: Getting contents of folder.
Then a message pops up: Sfotware caused connection abort.
(this only happens on XP boxes)
Does anyone have any ideas why it does not work on XP Professional.

Make sure 'Enable Folder View for FTP' is check in the IE Advanced settings.
Can you successfully make a connection from a command prompt?
