Resolved [RESOLVED] " What Is The Best On-Line Web Based Backup "?

I've heard good and bad things about two programs that I'm considering...Carbonite and Barracuda. What do you all think as far as ease of use and pretty error free. I'm doing this research for my wife as she has a home based consulting business. She has a Dell Laptop with a 114Gig HD. I appreciate all your help!

May I suggest a couple usb drives instead. Keep one offsite and only hook up when updating the external.

After what happened to the telephones a while back, I would not trust online storeage.

    Thanks Train,

Not a bad idea...and as a matter of fact I just ordered 2 64 Gig Patriot Flash Drives for my PC. I like them better myself. My wife had just heard some good things about web storage! Thanks my friend!

The way I do things is to backup all my data to a separate internal drive. Data that is replaceable but would be a pin to lose gets baked up to an external drive. data that is very important or irreplaceable gets backed up to the external drive, to another computer on the LAN and to a flash drive. It works well for me

    Hi Supersparks,

I agree...one can never have too many backup devices, especially for work docs like my wife has that are irreplaceable. We both have WD External Backup Drives and also 1-16, 2-32, and 2-64 Gig Patriot Flash Drives but my wife heard about Carbonite's off site backup from a co-worker and is going to ask him more about it at their next meeting. Needless to say she's a little bit paranoid about losing irreplaceable docs. Thanks for your suggestion my friend!
