Does HP scanjet 4850 work with omnipro 14
Purchased an HP scanjet 4370 which does not work with omnipro. The 4370 takes pretty pictures, but does not allow editing of a document.
I am now considering getting the HP 4850. It advertises OCR technology. Will it work with my existing software, Omnipro 14?

Photolady:
Thanks, once again. I can print this list and use it for shopping. I see the scanner I was considering is not on the supported list.
I am considering posting another question, but you or someone who looks at this thread may know the answer:
How accurate is the HP OCR technology, which comes with its scan jet, as compared to the OCR technology of Omnipro 14?

Never used an HP scanner, except to fix one once. So I really can't tell you how good their OCR software is. But if you find a scanner that is compatible with your OmniPro, I suggest you use that instead. OmniPro is the leader in OCR as far as I'm concerned.
And you're welcome for the help.

Thanks, and I agree with your recommendation. I will stick with Omnipro.
