    Question CD drive not appearing after formatting..

    just formatted a micron computer, loaded Win2000, all good, except even tho loaded from CD Drive, the drive does not appear when viewing "my computer". Seems to have autorun, tho...any suggestions?

    thank you so much for your response. I will go to that link. I did locate an old floppy labeled CDRom Drivers - who knows where that came from- and loaded it late last night. It then recognized the drive. I'm betting your link will tell me it is a driver issue. I sure value everyone's insight from this site!
