    Question about reformatting a HDD?

    I want to wipe the HDD on my HP Pavilion clean and reinstall WinXP Home with an install CD. I've been reading up on this process and it seems rather complicated. I have to fdisk the drive, then partition it and so on. Does a program like Partition Magic do all of this or is there some other program out there than makes this whole process simpler? Thanks.

    why dont u just use the formatting utils when installin winxp?

    there u can choose a partition in which to install, or delete existing partitions.

    yes, or partition magic would do the job.... very well i might add..

    dont bother with fdisk, ur going back in time if u do...(imo)
