    Memory test keeps running

Everytime I start computer, the memory test keeps on running until we hit the "esc" button. Have went into bios settings, and havent been able to see anything in there that can stop it from running constantly. Does anyone know a way of fixing this? Thank you in advance. Hope everyone has a great Christmas.
    Thanks again,

oops i forgot to mention, the OS is windows xp home edition.

Did you recently add a stick of memory or replace a stick? Sometimes mobo's require certain DIMMs are used. Have you ran a memtest recently? Regards . . .

How much RAM do you have? Does it cycle through all of it or does it get to a point and stop or restart?

Usually the setting to turn the memory test off is called something like quick boot, quick POST, or something similar. Who makes your motherboard? What model?

ProfessorU is correct it is a setting in the bios for quick boot.

when it says press ?? to enter setup press it then in one of the menu's (could be advanced features) set quick boot to disabled (LOL mean enabled ).

hope this helps mike merry christmas to you too!
