I am careful what I do but I have posted here and look here several times a week and you get to know who knows what's going on. Everyone makes mistakes and I always double check before I actually do anything so it's okay plus I have seen Theoran's posts lots of times and I feel like he know's his stuff and also he has a link to back him up. And I don't like these files since I got IE6, I just don't like the fact that after the files are deleted, there are nearly 1000 new files created. So I will probably format my HD and go back to IE 5.5 for a while.

Sorry for the mishap. I could type up a real long story as to the reasons why I accidentally said it was in the Windows directory but I won't. I'll give you the very short version.
When I click on the Explorer icon it opens the Windows folder. Within this folder I have another autoexec.bat file which I made that does something completely different. When I was verifying where everything was when I typed up the post I was looking at the wrong file. That was my mistake. I admitted it. Big deal.
Theoran's suggestion -- which is a real head-shaker -- what is the point?
The point is, monnieta didn't want these files there so why not give them a way of having them be deleted on every reboot. It's simple and you don't have to manually do it or remember to do it.
You seem to like to belittle me and my posts so go ahead and dissect this post for what it's worth, another pointless reply from a non-advanced computer user who has no idea where the autoexec.bat file is located.

Hello Daizy. I had to put them on my website. Threads disappear here so often that updating bookmarks becomes a full time job.
