    Print screen and where is goes

    Where does it save the file when i hit the print screen button?It tells me to open an application like paint and edit there.......but i can find it....Where is that image saved?

    just curious... have you look in the folder called 'my pictures'?

    go to start>>my documents>>my pictures

    are the images there?

    To edit the picture the print screen takes, goto paint or any other graphics program. And just paste it. Either of these will work. (Shift + Insert) (CTRL + V). If you want to put it into a text editor/word processor you may have to select paste special.

    ....Where is that image saved?
    If you are still interested, in Clipboard.
    When you click "Paste", it goes from there to Paint.
    You need a Clipboard Viewer to see it, but you actually do not care.

    you hit print screen, and then you go to:
    start/programs/accessories/paint . then edit/paste.. you arethen offered a suggestion because the size is too big, and you say yes,, and voila.. there it is.
    Now don't save it it BMP but in gif /jpg/or tif. this will make the file smaller to send my email. so if you want to send someone your desktop you can..
