    Outlook 98

    Can someone help please?

I am trying to send an email through Outlook 98 but I want to hide the To field so that no one can see who else has received the email. Does anyone have any ideas?

Brensa, not sure what you are trying to do. Is this an email that you received from someone else, and you want to forward it to another, but do not want to show who else received it or where it came from? If so, copy and paste just the email text into a new email and address it to the sender of your choice. Hope this helps.

Thanks for replying but that's not what I need. I am sending an email to a group of people but I don't want anyone of them knowing who else is receiving the same email. Is there a way I can make the To: field blank?

Back again Brensa. I think I've got what you're looking for. I extracted this info from M$ Help & Support Line. Should answer all of your questions.

OUTLOOK 98: How to Hide E-mail Addresses from Other Recipients

In Outlook, you may want to send an e-mail message to more than one person but not want the recipients to know that other people are receiving the same message. The following describes how to hide e-mail addresses from other recipients.

To hide e-mail addresses from other recipients, type your address in the To field and the recipients' addresses in the Bcc field of the e-mail message:

On the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Message.

In the Untitled message, on the View menu, click Bcc Field.

In the box next to Bcc, type the recipients' addresses.

    Many thanks TeddyBear.

That seems to have done the trick. Here was me trying to look for a more complicated answer than what it actually was.
    Many thanks

It's funny how computers do that to us. Glad to help out. Sorry I took so long getting back to you--had a short power outage out my way...Happy computing
