    EMM386 error # 01

    I am getting an EMM386 error #01 in an application at memory address 00B8:416D when I power off my PC. It tells me to press enter and when I do, nothing happens. Also, my display looks a little odd. Please help.

    are you running debug??
    MS lists this as a debugger interupt.
    debug would be sitting, waiting for keyboard input.
    what apps do you have running in background/loaded in startup or autoexec that might be running a debug routine ?
