Flight simulator add-ons...

I have flightsim 2000 professional, have installed add-on airplanes, but they do not show up in the program's library list. I checked everything several times to be sure they were installed properly, they were, but still they will not appear. Anyone have a similar problem, if so, any solution or ideas? (I have a 1Gz Gateway with w/me.)

Perhaps this tutorial on Installing New Aircraft in FS2000 will help? Have to scroll about 1/2 way down the page, it's rather involved.
A partial quote:

(After converting, if you look in the explorer straight away you will not see
your plane. Dont Panic just yet.. The explorer has not seen it yet. Hit F5 and
now the explorer will take fresh stock and you will see your plane out there.
You must hit F5 if you want to see the change that has taken place since
otherwise the explorer will show you what was before only and you will be under the
impression that the plane is not showing up in the Explorer

Hope this helps some. My DH got CFS WWII Europe, looks like fun but needs some tweaking. I've played it a few times, but really need to hone my skills. I either crash and burn or do serious bodily harm to some poor souls on the ground.
