Hi Ron,
In an earlier post regarding a password issue I was given the following advice which I think would apply to you:
"Rename WIN.COM to something secret. When your machine boots up you will be left at the c prompt and you will simply need to type your "SECRET" password."
So I think if you rename win.com to, let's say, RON.COM, you will boot to the C:\> and then all you have to do is type: RON to get into windows.
Sounds like a plan Stan!
Good Luck,
Dave

If you want to boot to dos on a regular basis try this.
Answer, The MSDOS.SYS in Win95 is a text file.
Change the BootGUI=0 to BootGUI=1 and you boot into DOS.
You can always type WIN to start Win95 from there.

Apologies Ron, I goofed . I was responding to two similar messages and mixed up the answers, shame on me.
BootGUI=0 -----> Dos (0=No Graphical User Interface)
BootGUI=1 -----> Windows(1= Graphical User Interface)
It's still in the Msdos.sys file, under [Options] that this needs to be changed.
Sorry about the misleading information.
