    Win 3.1 & Win 2 K

Is it possible to remove a hard drive from an old computer with Win. 3.1 and install it in a new computer as the second drive(slave) on the primary IDE controller? The new computer has Win 2K pro as the O/S. Thanks

YES! there will not be a problem!
you may want to DELETE the command.com and all the system files off of it after you put it in and go into windows2k!

Depending on the hard drive sizes this may actually slow the system down. I based this on that newer drives are 20+ gig & the older drives that came with systems that had 3.1 on it MIGHT be a gig. Most likely 540 meg or less

I wouldnt marry a big drive and a tiny one. Thats just not a good idea. But it can be easily done

If you do, fdisk & reformat the smaller one
