Soundblaster, CDDB, Playcenter 2 and blue screen

I have Win2k, a DVD/ROM Creative PC-DVD Encore 8x Dxr3 drive (E and cd/RW Plextor Plexwriter 8/4/32a drive (F with a Sounblaster Live Platinium card.
I have the latest Liveware 3.0 the latest Playcenter 2.1.

When I tried to auto-configure my e: drive in Playcenter 2 settings, I got a fatal blue screen, saying something I don't remember.

I just don't want to try it again because I'm a novice in computers. Anybody can reproduce this? I just remember it was saying something like dumping memory at the end with seconds or something going up like 0 to 1 2,3 without stopping counting. I just pressed reset, there was no pther solutions.

It was refering to a driver something...2k.sys I think.

Also, I use naviscope a samll utility which is acting like I'm using a proxy but the funny thing is I don't have any problem with the utility coming from Plextor, Plextor Music Video Producer, which plays CD and access CDDB without any problems...

Is there a way to change parameters to CDDB in Playcenter2?

Try it again and tell us exactly what the error message says. That's the best place to start. Otherwise we're shooting blind...

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not willing to pay a penny to find a solution.

I'm not a newbie and I prefer to resolve my problems myself or find the solutions on boards like this one.

Actually I did find some solutions here on other topics.
