Thanks for your help on my scanner problem. It seems that I might need to contact the maker of the scanner, cause the only manuel I have is the INSTALLATION of the scan and not the opertation of the scanner. I just wanted to be sure that a scanner shouldn't need to calibrate itself everytime you decide to scan a picture.
