PLansdowne! Your help again please!
PLansdowne:
I received an e-mail to say you had responded to my call for help, but your response was NOT to be found. Can you repost me? Or e-mail me? This was my problem: Using Windows 95, and the HP 670c printer. A few days ago, a print command returned an error message.
I tried to reinstall, unsuccessfully, even with help from HP. Same glitch : After licence agreement box, when install programme tests communications an error box pops up (hpfst108) announcing 'an illegal operation. If problem persists, contact vendor'. Details button says: 'HPFST108 caused a general protection fault in module MMSYSTEM.DLL at 0001:000000c9' (& lots more under registers, which I wrote down in case anybody could help).HP say this is that Windows files are corrupted. Can I fix this without reinstalling Windows 95?

Go to Run and type Sysedit.
Click System.ini.
Scroll down until you get to the [boot] section. Do you have a line that reads drivers=mmsystem.dll? If not, add it then close, save changes and reboot.
