It is possible to enable usb ports in NT4. http://www.ionetworks.com/support/epdrivers.html#winnt. I have an intellimouse optical USB mouse which i have to use in NT, so now I have usb port open but intellipoint software doesnt install usb drivers on an NT4 system AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH NE1 know how to install or copy usb optical mouse drivers onto NT4?

so are u using the Edgeport device to add
multiple serial ports through a PC's USB port?

If that is the case, then where will you be plugging in the USB mouse ?

Or is it that u have the edgeport drivers for making the USB port work... and you want to connect the Intellimouse to the USB port to make it work with NT.

If I've understood correctly. is that the case.

Microsoft does not support USB under NT 4. You may need to search for some third party drivers. However, I have been trying to get hold of drivers for several USB devices without success. I suggest to upgrade to Windows 2000 if your Hardware will allow it. This solved my USB delema.

If you do find any NT4 USB drivers let us know.
