Please help
I have a problem, when I install Win NT WS I get multi CDROM Drives displayed in My Computer and in Explorer but they are not accessible, only the first one is, regardless of whether I am dual booting with win98, win98 or just plain NT. I go into disk administration tools and remove all drive letters for the extra CDROM drives and all looks OK from the outside. I can access my CD's OK but when I change a CD, I either tells me that the contents of this drive has changed or It gives me the blue screen of death and I need to reboot. I tried to install Service pack 3 but it does not do me any good.
I have 2 IDE Hard Disk drives installed and an internal IDE Zip Drive as well, I suspect it is the Zip drive that is creating the problem but I can't be sure, and I can't afford to remove it. Other wise I am everything able to get everything else going OK.
Sounds like you have a problem!! First, if all three devices(2cd's and 1zip) are on a single IDE channel, well there's the problem. IDE can only support two devices per channel. If that's not the case make sure there is only one master IDE device per channel.
