    Boot disk question

Can i use a Win 98 boot disk to format and
then re-install Win 95, thus avoiding having
to try and make a 95 boot disk that will fire up the CDROM?
A friend reckons it works just fine.
    Any advice much appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Steve.

    Welcome to VirtualDr

Yes you can use a win98 disk.

There would be an issue if you run fisk. If you're going to run fisk to set partitions, post back and we'll talk more.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

If you have Win95 version B you should be
OK using a 98 boot disk.
You can also go to bootdisk.com and download
a file which will make a 95 boot disk with
    CD support.

    Hi fellas,
Thanks for the welcome and advice.
    Ok on the 98 disk.
I'd like to make my own as well,
i've d/loaded a couple of boot files from
the site suggested, but have no clue how to
use them, ie send them to a blank floppy.
I'm pretty new to this stuff, so if you could explain the drill in laymans terms that would be great.
    Thanks again,
    Steve.
btw, i like the 'junior member' bit,
not bad for 40 yr old lol!!!
