[RESOLVED] upgrade to win 95 OSR2
I am installing an application which states that I need the OSR2 version of Windows 95 and that I can get an upgrade free.
Can someone please tell me where!!!!

The files referenced at microsoft.com does not upgrade from "A" version to "B".
You cannot upgrade to OSR2. OSR2 comes with computers as an OEM. You can buy it and lately pretty cheaply. One place is thru EBAY auction, I have bought 2 copies there.
I'm interested as to what software you are trying to install? It's unusual that it will only work with OSR2, never heard of that.

If you do get a copy of OSR2 it is installable.
The install routine / check looks for Win.com.
Rename this to something else and the normal setup.exe will run it's course.

is one of the best sites for info on this. Check it out.
