    What are these files?

    What ho all self isolators,

With time on my hands, I am attempting to regain space on my C: partition, which is sufficiently large at 100Gb with around 60 Gb used.

However, I have found these in C: and have no idea what they are and if I need them? I think not as they don't exist in some older images that I have and I don't recall seeing them in the past.

    Can I deleted them?

    Thanks and toodle pip

One of the good old fashion ways of doing this is to cut and paste the files to another location.

If nothing breaks or is broken after a few weeks - then you can consider them safe.

They look like they're deletable. Looong file names esp when they all start with tmp are def candidates for the trash bin. You could also add the extension .old to them which would render them inert until you decide they're junk.

    Many thanks.

I tend to keep a healthy eye on what is happening in C: and although i have not actually looked for some time, these are definitely not on my radar.

I have moved them to the Bin, and then I noticed the File Type. Can only be rubbish or may be an attempt at a virus!

But I have not received any viral attempts; not even CoVid-19

Virus is unlikely. They usually don't make themselves so obvious. Still, always a good idea to do regular scans with your a/v and Malwarebytes for safety sake.
