Resolved [RESOLVED] BLU Vivo X-Screen quivers and apps start by themselves suddenly

    BLU Vivo X
    Android Ver: 7
    ROM: 64G
    RAM: 4G
    SDCard: 64G

Not quite sure if this has to do with the operating system or the phone's hardware.

This phone is about 1.5 years old. It's a great phone.

However, starting about 3 months ago something strange started to happen. I can counter this event by holding the power button to force it to reboot.

All of a sudden apps start on their own (open up), you can see there are impressions all over the screen as though a finger is touching the screen. The phone goes crazy opening apps, entering information into fields. The information is just random characters. It will jump from one app to another and open even more apps as it goes crazy.

I have to hold the power button down in order to reboot it because I can't press the reboot button as the screen keeps changing on its own from app to app.

Once the phone resets it is fine. I can't seem to find a point at which this happens. It happens randomly. Sometimes two or three times a day or not for 6 days but when it does it is off to the races with all the apps opening and screens changing. Many of the screens seem to quiver.

Has anyone else experienced this or is there any information about this for the operating system? I can't seem to find anything.

I would hate to think this is the phone as it cost a lot of money and not even two years old yet.

    Thanks for any help.

This sounds like it could be a software issue. It might be possible to fix it by backing up all of your data (pictures, music, etc.) as well as making a note of any apps that you actually use (and backing up their data) from the phone and then doing a factory reset and reinstalling your apps and restoring your data.

    Urgh-was afraid of that.

Your suggestion sounds like a plan.

I can back up all my data and make note of all my apps - no problem. But one app requires me to have a Facebook account in order to save the data and I don't have Facebook nor will I ever have a Facebook account. Its bad enough that Google keeps track of me and my personal business

    This may be an issue.

Don't laugh but it is a casino game.

No, I don't spend money for chips that are totally worthless nor have I ever for any casino game and I won't for this one. I enjoy playing it daily but just for about 10 minutes. In order for me to be able to recoup the chips I have earned if I reset the phone I would have to connect it to a Facebook account. So I will probably grow bored of this casino game just like the other ones and then I can reset the phone to factory.

I don't have that many other apps on the phone. I am not really a mad phone person but do have a few. I can easily transfer my pictures (no music) to my laptop to back them up.

I posted this issue thinking that maybe it was an Android software issue that needed an update or something and that maybe others have experienced the same thing.

I guess I will just have to wait until I am bored with this casino game before resetting the phone.

    Thanks for your help jdc2000

FWIW I feel the same way about Facebook but I do need it on occasion for work related purposes.. just to view musician's photos or videos (and cat pics/videos when I'm bored LOL). I set up a FB acc't with a fake name and ID that's not related to me in any way and I don't post any personal info or pics etc so they can't spy on me etc. All you need is a throwaway email acc't with one of the usual email sites.. gmail, yahoo, aol, hotmail, windows mail/outlook etc.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

You could try Bitdefender or Norton Android anti-malware products to see if they find anything:

There is also an Android update available that fixes a vulnerability that affects your phone. See the link below:

Thank you to everyone that answered this post of mine. Your suggestions are so much appreciated!!!!

I am receiving a refund for this phone by the warranty company and I have to purchase another phone.

I will continue the explanation in this post I started originally in this forum prior to me purchasing this phone asking for an unlocked phone.

We can consider this thread "solved" because I have to buy another phone.

Thank you again to everyone for their suggestions!!
