Chkdsk and Defrag with hybrid SSD
Got a 500 GB SSD Hybrid on my tower. Should I use chkdsk at times and defrag? I use Smart Defrag. It does not say anything about trim when I open the program like on my SSD computer.
So I have been reading opinions on this subject and there are different opinions on both sides.
What is best for these drives?

Thanks, JB

What is the exact make and model of the drive? If it's a SSHD, then the SSD part is only for cache, not data.

Seagate SSHD (Gen3 500GB, ST500LM000)
I don't know why they don't put the OS on the SSD part of the hard drive to make it boot faster. I don't see this hard drive any different from a regular HDD in terms of speed.

I'm sure it was to cut cost. Like I mentioned, the SSD part is only for cache, so you'd defrag it like a normal HD.
