Once I decided to do this 'properly' I'm spoilt for choice.

    This is my dream system:

I think you'll see that page with my customizations. I've got no problem spending the money, I have a problem getting the money. Especially in a timely manner, like now!

I'll be checking out your links, thanks!

An LGA-2066 CPU system would be nice. Pricey, but nice. It should do anything you need, and it should run Windows 7 with no issues. I would recommend adding a UPS to your list for power protection also.

Yep, I already have one made by Tripp-Lite. Where I am it's doubtful you'll get through a week without a power outage in the summer months. Somewhere in the mountains, a pylon is literally in the clouds and that much water vapor shorts out the transformer. I have to protect my fridge as well. The power is set to reboot itself so it usually comes back within a few minutes but you never know, there's no warning or information. Sometimes CFE (the electricity company) don't even know a whole town is down, you have to call it in.

When I get the dream system, I'll post back. I'm sure I'll be in pig heaven.

You've been very helpful, thanks a lot!
