    Windows Update failed

    I got 85 errors out of 91 updates and it looks as though there are a lot of different error codes.

    What's the scoop, I'm not going to chase 50 or so error messages, just wondered if there's something Updates is expecting to find that isn't there?

    Or something that would explain this.

    The OS is Windows 7 SP1 (before updates were attempted)

    There are some prerequisites for some updates.

    Is this a new install of Windows 7 SP1?

    You can try installing the remaining updates 1 at a time to see if any will install.

    I did that and a lot of errors went away. Maybe the updates arrive or are installed in the wrong order.
