I am not sure what the issue is. I have a nice charging cord that used to work fine on my phone. In recent times, I can plug it in, try flipping the plug over and so forth, and it still won’t start charging.

Then I tried using other cords that always work on other phones, and it seems to start charging OK. Is it a matter of a dirty socket for the charging cord? Sometimes if I clean the plug on the cord, it will work, but that’s misleading if it’s actually the socket itself that’s dirty or something.

Or maybe the metallic contacts are damaged? I’ve been very careful when plugging in the charging cord.
