Free / simple PDF editor
I’m looking for a free (not web-based) free pdf editor. I don’t need to create fancy stuff, just simply edit existing text in files and import pages. Simple stuff.
Any recommendations? Most good ones out there cost over $100.
PDF-XChange free version if you insert another pdf into it will put a watermark on the pages. It's $43.50. Might be worth it, but checking if there are other suggestions that are better.

Thanks! I'll go through your list and look for something. I do have Office. So Word is 2007. I tried to open a pdf and it didn't work.
I tried in PDF-XChange to simply move an image to the right a space and it required the purchased version for just that.
My pdf's do have images in them. Yes, mainly just edit, import, re-arange pages, bookmarks.

A later version of Word might be able to do what you need, but that would cost $$$. For a totally free solution, you may need more than one program. To replace text, a Hex Editor can probably do that, but it may not be as easy to use as something else. To add, remove, and rearrange pages without a watermark, you may need a paid solution.

I was afraid of that. Was hoping...
Do you like PDF-XChange? At work I have a paid version of Nitro Pro and FoxIt.

Thanks! Good to know. I ended up paying a little bit for PDF-Echange Editor Plus. It meets all of my needs that I have.
