Pros and cons of an Acer Chrome book
Little brother bought this book, instead of buying a laptop. Is there any negatives about this Chromebook?

Nope, he bought it to listen to YouTube. But he talked about buying a laptop, and then he came home with the chrome book, which we know doesn't use windows and you can't change that either. He doesn't do anything on his phone except make phone calls.

I occasionally use one at work specifically for playing back videos incl youtube and it seems to work fine for that.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.

I asked because he talked about getting a laptop and then he bought this instead. Since he doesn't use his android phone for anything else except to make phone calls. It wondered why a chromebook was better than a regular laptop.

Chromebook advantages:
1. Costs less
2. Can't install any software, so less vulnerable to malware.
I wouldn't buy or use one, but if all you are doing is accessing web-based data it should work fine.

He says he only got it so he could watch YouTube, but I still wonder why he didn't get a laptop that would allow him to do the same thing but also use it for a real computer. Guess I'll never understand my brother's buying computer urges. His last laptop he bought the battery won't hold a charge and it's because the internal part is broken.
