Spam coming in as mailer-daemon@googlemail.com now, why?
So in my spam folder I get all these Delivery Status Notification (Failure)s for a week now. This is actually a Yahoo mail account that I have had since 1999. So I am getting these in the spam folder about 1 - 3 of them each hour. I just used to get spam that I could actually see the heading like Viagra, etc. But now many Delivery Status Notification (Failure)s are coming in. Is this some new that Yahoo is doing instead of sending me something with a title? I will snip a picture of my Spam folder and show it below for others to see. Anyone getting these failed emails coming in this way? See picture please with time and dates.

Someone could have hijacked your account and are sending out spam to others.... The outgoing spam could have a bad address and is bouncing back to YOU.
I would start by changing the password on your Yahoo acct.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Steve, so you are guessing that someone hacked me in order to use my email address to send spam to others and those email accounts could be an address that is not being used any more so they are bouncing back to me as a mailer-daemon?
I did test my email with three other emails that I had and they came to me as normal. It's funny that usually in my Yahoo spam folder I usually get about 10 spams a day and now I recently have not been getting any normal spam emails. I am just getting these undelivered messages only. When I do look at them some have a graphic about insurance companys and some don't have graphics at all. There is a box saying, "show graphics"
Anyhow it's nor normal that I am not getting regular spam only these now. This has been since last week. Strange huh?

If someone is sending spam and forging the "From:" address as yours, you would get the bounceback messages when the spam is rejected or the "To:" address is no longer in existence. They would not need to hack your account to do this. Depending on what is in the bounceback message header, you might be able to at least see where the original message came from (IP Address).

I haven't got any now since I posted this on the 17. Still watching my spam folder to see what happens. Thanks
