Friend of mine wanted me to ask this question

He said he saved the copy from when Windows 10 was trying to install on his computer when it first came out as free. He now wants to know if he can use this copy on his computer when Microsoft stops supporting Windows 7, which he has now.

So they didn't upgrade to 10 when he first got it?

If all else fails - se the recent post from BipolarBill

Actually I think that is the same thing I have that Bipolar posted. At least, that's where I got mine from, I'll just email him the link. Thanks Steve!

The original version of Windows 10 is no longer supported. It could be used, but he would be much better off downloading the latest version at that time.

I sent him an email with the link Bipolarbill listed. He's going to use that. After he asked me a million questions. LOL
