GRLDR missing message on Windows 10 computer.
Get this message on post and then the computer boots normally. Just want to kill this msg on startup. I bought the computer with Win 10 on it. I know that GRLDR has something to do with Linux. Can we get rid of this 3 second message? I tried the startup repair and it did not work. What else can be done?

Yea, I read all thru this stuff twice. The computer runs fine, just has that blurg of a message on startup. I wish I could find it and delete it.

So which of the methods to fix this did you try? Did you try the EasyRE fix method?
The sure-fire fix is to reinstall Windows 10 and format the drive during the process.

I did not try the EasyRE fix. The computer runs fine and don't want to do a monster install on this thing. Just got this startup msg on it. I wonder if a fixboor or fixmbr or mbr /rebuild would fix it.

I would first look at editing the boot.ini file to see if you can get rid of the multi boot entries from there.
Possibly useful links:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...-boot-ini-file

Disclaimer: Edit at your own risk. An image backup might be prudent in case something goes wrong, to prevent a re-install of Windows.

I will look at that. I did see that I have in Computer Management a system reserved partition of 549 MB but the boot looks like it is in the C drive partition.

Ok, I fixed it from this link: https://neosmart.net/wiki/bootrec/ - Thanks. You got to scroll down to the Windows 10 section though. I just restarted into the System Recovery Options, Troubleshooting, Advanced, command prompt like it said and typed in bootrec /fixmbr and the extra message about the Linux boot stuff called GRLDR does not appear anymore.
Thanks, how much do I owe you?
