Resolved [RESOLVED] Running 2 power hungry pcie off of one

Ok question is how harsh is it to run two power hungry rx580's from a 6 to a 2x 8 splitter. Keep in mind that that the PSU has it its just the worry of the overdraw on it.. How bad are the vega's? I'm switching to those soon.

If that didn't explain it, here is what I'm looking at.

Not this one just something of the sorts

Yes I did, That's why I asked if this was wise. I do have the option to run 2 power supplys but I'd rather not. (You would have to know the case) The rare obsidian 900d

I'll find out in 4 days. at least the flow factor over the cards will be less and I'll increase the intake flow with another 120mm fan. Temps are stable as it sits but i'm freaked out because I went back to stock speeds and have yet to OC on it. Best case scenario? I got a couple of good cards for a build.

I didn't answer because I wasn't sure what you wanted to do would work. You can try it, then you'll know.

I'll find out, if not I'm looking at a EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G+. PC was doing strange things for a while there. I had the multiplier set to 23 and windows just ran like junk. Even if I reset the bios it ran like junk. The I found a neat setting. CPB ratio. I set that to match my current multiplier and it runs smooth as butter now.

The morn power you have the better it runs, and the more things you can add without a problem too, I've always said.

Ok...I just did something insane. I pulled a hard bolted rack (aluminum) while it was running, installed a new video card (it took it) and everythyhing seems fine so far. I did order a couple extra fans to cool it and no this thing doesn't look crazy. Unfortunately I think I told you you guys it was in a 900d case....Nice and big but messed up

    What's messed up about it?

And I'm surprised you didn't short something out doing it that way, with the computer turned on and running.
