Resolved [RESOLVED] Microsoft word opening new document

I am using Windows 10 and Microsoft Word 2010. All of sudden when I open a new document it will only open full screen. When I try to use the two squares on the top right hand side to "restore down" it goes to the screen capture shown below and I can only restore it to full screen again by clicking on the small square. Some setting must have been changed by me inadvertently and I am at a loss to find what it was. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Brian

If you move the mouse pointer to one of the edges of that ultra-reduced window, does it change to a double headed arrow so you can click and move the edge to make it larger?

    Hi jdc2000
It certainly does and I thank you for that. If I close the now opened larger document without working on it and then reopen Word it still opens in that ultra-reduced window. Is there a fix for this as well?

    Thanks again for your help,

    Brian

Hold the CTRL Key when dragging.

    Hi Steve,
It took a few tries but that did it.
Thanks so much to both of you.
