[RESOLVED] Viewing *.ave file
What ho one and all,
Not sure if this should be here or in the DVD section, but here goes....
I had a bit of a fender bender recently, and fortunately, there is some CCTV footage that proves my case. Today, I collect a DVD with the footage and an associated player. Unfortunately, the player will not install on my XP machine.
However, the file is ave. (Avigilon Native Video Export file) is a format used with some video surveillance hardware. I have tried VLC / MPC / and another player. I have tried to convert but the bottom line is, nothing I can find will open ave files.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks
Rex

Panic over. After finding very little information on AVE files, I did mange to find that there is s 'hidden' export option on the player software. As a result, I now have saved the CCTV as an avi file.
I'm a very happy bunny!!!
