Internet Explorer 11 file download prompt issue
I have one computer where, when you download a file in Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7, you get the prompt to Open, Save, or Save As, however, when the download completes, you should get a prompt to Open/Run or Open Folder and that prompt does not appear. I have not been able to find anything on how to restore that prompt. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated. It may be a Group Policy issue. Thanks.

The only option I see is in the View Downloads box.
Click the Gear icon > View downloads
Options > Check "Notify me when my downloads are complete"

Closest I could find in google is reg entry for Win Vista/IEX7..
https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/wind...oads-in-vista/
Might still be there with newer OS and browser though. Worth a look.
I checked in my Win 7 install with IEX11 and that reg key is there.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.
Check back regularly for responses.

It did ask if I wanted to save the file. Midknyte's fix was the correct one - it worked. I just love the way Microsoft tries to bury options so you can't find them.
Thanks.
