Multimedia Audio Controller Needed
I have this HP a1330a model desktop that lacks a multimedia audio controller. Running Windows 7. I have searched everywhere & cannot find a driver. I once was given an HP website that offered older model drivers
but have lost track of it. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find a driver? Thanks for your time...

That system came with XP, so HP wouldn't have had win7 drivers anyway.
That could either be the sound card or the modem. If you're not using the modem, pull it out and check Device Manager again.
You could try using PCI-Z to identify the manufacturer.

HP specs says he has this inside:
Controller: AC97 audio
And I found this on Google if you want to try it: it's a google search, so not sure if it will help or not.

Hi; thanks for the info; I had the AC97 driver, but it wouldn't work. Gonna try the PZI-C & see if it can help. Thanks much.......
