Driver gone after reboot
The machine is an HP DV7T-7000. The latest audio driver is installed from the HP site but afer a reboot, the driver has disappered. The owner has had this problem for a year and been working around it by uninstalling the driver at the end of every session so that it's installed again on bootup.
Has anyone heard of this before? How to fix it?
Thanks - rev

>What version of Windows is on the laptop?
Win 7 x64. Thanks for the links, the best I could find out was that it was related to the sequence in which the drivers were installed. Some people solved the problem by installing the mobo drivers first, followed immediately by the audio driver. I don't know if the owner has tried that yet.
