[RESOLVED] Question about internet speed
For some time now, my internet speed seems to be slow. In that, when I access a website/page, it takes at least 1/2 minute for the page to load. I tested the speed at the speed site and it says the internet is "fast". 20.2mbps download and 3.95 mbps upload.
But all my pages are slow loading. I look at the bottom where it shows what it's accessing and can't believe all the crap that's stated.
For example, the site thr.com....I'm looking at the bottom screen and it's "transferringXXX" "transferring XXXX" "waiting for XXX" and it goes on for about 1/2 minute.
Are these ads? What is this that it's transferring? Should I put ad blockers on? Would that cause it to move faster?

Those ads are coming from 2 dozen different ad server sites, and, yes, they are slow and bloated. An ad blocker might improve the page loading speed.

Well, the ad blocker seems to be working. The pages are loading faster and I can see how many ads are blocked.
