Change write attrib
I've been round and round the file Properties and every user has the permissions I want - until I 'OK' all the way back out,
Then I discover they are unchanged, how is it done?
Thanks - rev

Can you change the permissions on folders that the user you are using to change the permissions with actually owns, and have them stick? Try this on a test folder that you create.

Thanks. I fixed it with a great little program called winownership. You drag the offending file onto the GUI and you have taken ownership. I tried to set up Take Ownership in the registry to make it appear in the context menu but I couldn't get it to work, Winownership was a alternative with no pain, no configuring or setup issues. I recommend! And it's free.
